About

Our client is a publicly-traded company on NASDAQ, and they are the largest powersports retailer in North America. They offer a wide selection of powersports products, including motorcycles, ATVs, parts, accessories, and aftermarket products from a wide range of manufacturers. They are the first omnichannel dealer in the US, offering instant cash offers to sell bikes, online transactions, and trade-ins for their customers.

Objectives
  • Develop an e-commerce platform to sell vehicles.
  • Develop an intelligent buy module for vehicle purchases/trade-ins by the company.
  • Develop an auction system for real-time vehicle bidding.
Solution

We built an e-commerce web application that supports buying and selling as well as vehicle auctions. Users can choose from thousands of vehicles and initiate a purchase through the platform. The system shows an estimate of the average price of the vehicle by analyzing multiple factors, including the Vehicle Identification Number(VIN), helping buyers and sellers price their vehicles in a fair and practical way.

We also built an analytics dashboard so the client can analyze data about the end-users and what kind of vehicles are in demand and align their business strategy based on that.

The system features advanced image analysis that speeds up the vehicle buying process by the company. When a user uploads a photo of their vehicle, the system detects any damages and provides an accurate condition-based estimation. Also, as this platform supports real-time auctioning, there was a need to have a very low response time. A millisecond delay could affect the bidding process. So we built this system with deeply optimized performance and minimal latency to ensure efficient bidding.
