We are delighted to share that Rootcode Foundation has officially adopted its fourth school, continuing our mission of empowering underprivileged children through technology education. This year, we are partnering with Bollatha Dharmapala Maha Vidyalaya, located on Ganemulla Road, Ja-Ela.

The official inauguration ceremony was held on 7th February 2026, with the participation of the school’s principal, teachers, students, parents, and our team from Rootcode. It was a memorable start to what will be a year-long journey with the school community, and an important step forward in expanding access to technology education for students who need it most.

Over the course of the year, our Rootcoders will visit the school each month to conduct full-day technology education sessions. These sessions are designed to make technology learning engaging, practical, and accessible, while giving students the chance to explore digital tools and concepts in a hands-on manner

However, our work does not stop at teaching sessions. As part of this adoption, we will also be building a dedicated computer lab for the school, giving students access to a modern learning environment where they can develop digital skills with the right resources. Alongside this, we will be implementing our Smart School software to support the school’s day-to-day administrative work and help strengthen digital processes within the school.

We also believe that long-term impact comes from empowering educators. Throughout the year, we will conduct teacher training workshops to help teachers build confidence in using technology and integrating it into teaching and learning. In addition, we will be awarding scholarships to deserving students to support their academic progress.

With the adoption of Bollatha Dharmapala Maha Vidyalaya, we are proud to take another step in our ongoing commitment to creating meaningful and lasting impact through technology education. We look forward to working closely with the school throughout the year and sharing updates as this journey unfolds.
