- Understand project deliverables and clearly define the scope of the project
- Provide directions to the team and set the right expectations
- Carryout project duration and effort estimations
- Strategically plan team structure and staffing needs
- Schedule activities and tasks and delegate effectively
- Identify the unanticipated risks that may occur during the project and take risk reduction actions
- Effectively liaise with clients, the team and other stakeholders
- Guide and mentor team members
