We believe that a good internship experience is something invaluable to aspiring professionals. At Rootcode, we have seen interns growing, leading entire divisions, taking initiative and doing extraordinary work. So, a good internship can help individuals to equip the tools and knowledge needed to propel their careers forward and pave the way for future professional growth.

Therefore, at Rootcode, we introduced “Rootcode Accelerate.” Rootcode Accelerate is a comprehensive program curated aiming to provide our interns with a well-rounded internship experience. Through this program, we offer a holistic internship experience to all our interns through a blend of activities and initiatives not merely directed at developing our interns’ technical skills but focused on sharpening their soft skills as well.

In terms of technical development, the Rootcode Accelerate program consists of a number of initiatives that help our interns elevate their abilities and potential in order to stay ahead of the curve. Each intern is assigned a mentor and a coach from whom they can seek personalized guidance on how they can navigate their professional journey. On top of that, technical sessions are regularly conducted by our own expert Rootcoders to ensure all interns gain valuable in-depth knowledge into their relevant fields. These initiatives are further empowered by hands-on experience and exposure. As part of Rootcode Accelerate, interns are also given the opportunity to be a part of organizing and executing company initiatives such as “Rootcode Foundation” and “Tech-Triathlon” and various company events such as “Avurudu Celebrations” and “Gala Night”. This gives them the opportunity to develop their leadership and organizational skills while also opening the door to networking opportunities.

In addition, the Rootcode Accelerate program encourages interns to develop soft skills such as communication and presentation skills by taking part in the Rootcode Speaking Club. This also provides them with a platform to share their stories with everyone and socialize on a meaningful level. They are also encouraged to join in with Rootcode’s leisurely initiatives such as “Root Chords”, our very own in-house band.
